Chazy — The 2012 Kiss My Bass Fish Derby will take place on July 22.
Sponsored by the Chazy Rod and Gun Club. There will be cash prizes for the top five bass by weight, only one cash prize per person. Bass must be taken from Lake Champlain. $150 for first place. Entry fee is $20 per person and will include a meal, $15 for under 16 and older than 65. There will also be a 50/50 and Raffle.
Register at the Weathercock Bar, 9688 State Route 9, or at the Happy Pike Snack Bar, 562 Lake Shore Drive next to Monty's Bay Marina by July 21. The derby is from sunrise to 5 p.m. Weigh Station is open 2-5 p.m. at the Happy Pike Snack Bar with awards to follow shortly after 5 p.m.
