9:06 a.m. The Essex County Board of Elections has started to review the absentee ballots for the Elizabethtown Supervisors race. There are a total of 49 absentee ballots. I will be back with results shortly.
9:10 a.m. The first sounds of ripping have started and the votes are officially being counted.
9:24 a.m. Through 10 votes cast, there is no change, with both Margaret Bartley and Noel Merrihew receiving five votes.
9:27 a.m It made the total 231-222 in favor of Bartley.
9:28 a.m After 20 votes, Bartley increases lead, 237-226.
9:32 a.m. Bartley takes eight of next 10 votes for a 245-228 lead. The next four votes were split, giving Bartley a lead that cannot be overcome.
9:48 a.m The final absentee tally is 28-21 in favor of Bartley, making the final total 254-238 for Bartley. Military ballots were not counted, but the result should stand.
